   Cumberland Coal Corporation, 2000 Auburn Drive, Suite 200, Beachwood, OH 44122 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined land Reclamation for a Renewal of PERMIT No. 1602404, in order to continue the operations at the following location.

   The site identified as the Stonega #1 surface, to conduct mining and reclamation operations at the following location: At coordinates North 3,545,498.00, East 10,232,573 1.7 miles North of Stonega near Route 600 The site is located on the Appalachia quadrangle.

   The permit has 7 NPDES outfalls which discharge into Callahan Creek and West Fork. They control surface runoff from the operational area consisting of 384.97 acres. The site and its monitoring points can be identified by viewing the Renewal Map, which is located in Sections 21.2 and 21.5 of the electronic application.

   Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of October 20, 2026 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
