PUBLIC HEARING - Amend and update the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations of the Town of Wise

NOTICE OF 

PUBLIC HEARING

     The Town of Wise Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday July 28, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wise Municipal Building located at 501 West Main Street Wise, VA 24293 for the purpose of soliciting public comment on a request to amend and update the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations of the Town of Wise, Virginia adopted March 23, 1987. Said amendment  concerns placement of manufactured homes in all Zoning Districts which allow residential uses subject to certain conditions. When the public hearing is opened, anyone wishing to address the council on this amendment may speak. Following the public hearing the Wise Town Council may take action to amend the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations of the Town of Wise, Virginia adopted March 23, 1987.

    The Town of Wise offers the right to free language assistance for persons conducting business with the Town of Wise. The Town of Wise provides reasonable accommodations for persons who require special assistance to participate in public involvement opportunities. Persons requesting auxiliary aids to accommodate a disability to attend the public hearing should direct their request to the Town Manager’s office or by phoning (276)328-6013 (Voice and TDD) at least one week prior to the hearing date.
