TOWN OF WISE HEARING TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE AND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS

PUBLIC NOTICE

     The Town of Wise Planning Commission  of Wise, Virginia  will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers of the Wise Municipal Building at 501 West Main Street, Wise, Virginia for the purpose of soliciting public comment on a Resolution recommending that the Town Council of the Town of Wise, Virginia amend the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations of the Town of Wise Virginia adopted March 23, 1987. The General Assembly has adopted to permit the placement of manufactured homes in all zoning districts which allow residential uses subject to certain conditions. Anyone wishing to address the Planning Commission  regarding said resolution may speak. Following the public hearing, the Town of Wise Planning Commission may or may not take action to approve the resolution or deny the resolution. A copy of the resolution and legislation are on file in the Zoning Administrators’ office at the Wise Municipal Building at 501 West Main Street, Wise, Virginia where they may be examined by interested parties during regular business hours.  The Town of Wise offers the right to free language assistance for persons conducting business with the Town of Wise. The Town of Wise provides reasonable accommodations for persons who require special assistance to participate in public involvement opportunities. Persons requesting auxiliary aids to accommodate a disability to attend the public hearing should direct their request to the Town Manager’s office or by phoning 328-6013 (Voice & TDD) at least one week prior to the hearing date.  The Town of Wise is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
