The Wise County Board of Supervisors - Amendment to Ordinance #1-2009 by increasing partial property tax exemption for certain elderly and disabled homeowners from $200 to $300

PUBLIC  NOTICE

     The Wise County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on March 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the School Board Education Center, 628 Lake Street, Wise, VA to receive citizens’ comments on an amendment to Ordinance #1-2009 by increasing partial property tax exemption for certain elderly and disabled homeowners from $200 to $300. Eligibility limits will remain unchanged. These changes will be in affect for the upcoming tax levy.

    Current recipients have until March 1 to reapply for the partial exemption.
