Project Description:

Norton City Schools is accepting bids to complete two (2) paving projects at John I. Burton High School, located at 109 11th Street, Norton VA, 24273

Parking Lot Resurface: Contractor shall provide a square yard cost to complete resurfacing of the John I. Burton High School Parking Lot to include milling of the entire parking lot. The cost shall include restriping of the parking lot to match the existing layout. Contractor shall install the SM12.5AL with a minimum depth of 2-inches. Contractor shall also verify positive drainage away from the existing structures and eliminate any low-lying areas in the parking area. The estimated total square yards is 5,500. Parking lot work shall be coordinated with NCS to occur when school is not in session, most likely to occur in July 2026.

Track Resurface: Contractor shall provide a square yard cost to complete resurfacing of the John I. Burton High School Track to include the necessary milling along all edges to tie into existing sidewalks, curbs and gutters, etc. Contractor shall install the SM12.5AL with a minimum depth of 2-inches. The estimated total square yards is 5,100.

Bid Date: Bids will be accepted no later than March 9th, at 12:00 pm local prevailing time, and will be received electronically via email at
