Sandi Stapleton McMurray was recognized April 26 for her work with the Wise County Victim Witness program. McMurray traveled to the U.S. attorney’s office for the Western District of Virginia in Roanoke to receive the honor. McMurray previously worked as the victim witness coordinator for Wise County for five years. McMurray worked with victims of crimes to navigate them through court proceedings and legal processes.
