RICKY HOPKINS

Ricky Dean Hopkins, 65, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Norton Community Hospital. Ricky was a loving husband, father and friend to all that knew him. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He enjoyed softball, NASCAR and was an avid movie watcher. He may be gone but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in Peace Daddio!

He was a son of the late James and Katherine Hopkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ellis “Bob” Hopkins, James “Hoppy” Hopkins and Scotty Hopkins; and two sisters, Brenda Wade and Vie Dingus.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Swetish Hopkins; three daughters, Madison Jackson and her husband Sean, Katherine Hopkins, and Jodie Smith and her husband TJ; a son, Eli Hopkins; three grandchildren, Rylee Jackson, Konnor Smith and Kaedan Smith; three sisters, Patty Flora, Martha Hagy and Elizabeth Brown; a brother, Dwayne “Tiny” Hopkins, several nieces and nephews and special friend A.J.

Private services will be conducted later.
