JENNIE HILL

Jennie Ellen Hill passed away April 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shannon Dewain Hill, her mother, Henrietta Greear, her father, J.T. Greear, and her brother, Marty “Bim” Greear.

Jennie is survived by her twin sister Teresa Holt (Danny Holt), sister, Sandra Hensley, her brother Emmett Greear (Trena Greear) and her stepson and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kelly Hill.

Her greatest joy was her family and she doted on her nieces and nephews, Stacey Miniard, Becky Holt, Andrietta Marcum, Chad Greear, and twins Joesph and Kevin Wireman. Jen’s joy of life was enhanced by her great nieces and nephews—Cass, Shauna, Dustin, Lindsey, Kalley, James, Jesse, Aidan and – you guessed it – another set of twins, Holly and Dylan. Her great-great niece Emersyn and great-great nephews Carter, Jake, and Harlan made her family complete.

Jen was blessed with an outstanding ability to write and tell stories. Her stories and poems were published in a book entitled "Coalfield Suites”. Her wit and outgoing personality made her a force to be reckoned with. Her charisma was exemplified by the roles that she played in productions at the ACAC, Appalachia, VA. She was an active participant in the Relay for Life and many other community organizations. She retired from AT&T Relay Center in Norton, VA.

Services were conducted at 7 pm Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home with Brother Mike Hunsucker officiating. Burial was 11 am Monday, April 22, 2024, at Laurel Grove Cemetery,
